Mustang Cowl
Information
The Ford Mustangs were labelled "Foxbody" from
1979-1993 due to the vast interchangeable aspect of the part scheme for such
necessary items like doors, fenders, trunks, (hood) etc... The Mustang Street
Heat Cowl is "NO EXCEPTION" to this rule because it will fit all of the foxbody
cars... (79-82) (83-86) (87-93) All models, including, saleen, dech, coupe,
hatchback, convertible, LX, GT, etc... are as well "NO
EXCEPTION"
The "Street Heat Cowl" was given it's name for a few good
reasons from our understanding of it's mechanical purpose as well as it's
obvious cosmetic enhancements and much needed structural improvement on the
original product design that Ford has now "DISCONTINUED".
The Cowls' main purpose is to allow a fresh air exchange into the
heater core of the passenger compartment to oxygenate it's occupants and
provide them with vented comfort.
The Product comes to the customer in white ONLY, but is easily
paintable as shown in the above image.
There are provisions for the Windshield Wiper Arm to go through
that is prepared by the factory and the wiper arm is simply removed and then
replaced after the Cowl Vent Panel is in place and fastened.
There are 4 corner screw holes that will arrive to you
"pre-drilled" for fastening to the original holes.
The Original Pieces were designed with 6 screw holes, but the
center 2 holes have been deemed unecessary for this product for 2
reasons:
1/ Cosmetic appearance
2/ The designed of the product is such that it has a slight
curvature to fit snugly in place once the corner screws are in place and
gently, yet properly, tightened.
There is a "squirter shroud" that can easily accept an original
window washer nozzle if desired (not included, please do not throw your old one
out).
The Mesh in the 2 large center openings is included and comes
installed onto the cowl cover. It is easily removed from the backside of the
part to allow for paint-matching of your Mustang's finish color.
The part is manufactured from tooling quality ISO polyesther resin
and chopped strand matte of 3 ounces with a 22-25 ml of gelcoat at its surface
to seal the fiberglass and give it an appealing finish.
Shipping is a flat rate to the Lower 48 States and Canada ($19.65)
and comes with automatic Carrier Insurance of $100.00.
The Street Heat Cowl is in Stock and is manufactured in
volume for Distributors (if interested to buy or distribute, or if you have
further questions about purchases of custom body kits or buying kit pieces,
please contact us by phone).
This product requires that you re-use your wiper fluid nozzle from
your original cowl cover.

The 2009 Ford Focus RS - Good for 164mph
[ad#ad-1]
Ford in Austria has finally let loose some concrete information on the much anticipated 2009 Ford Focus RS, which looks set to be one barn-stormer of a car. With almost 300bhp, a 0-60 time in the high 5 seconds and a top speed of 164mph, the Focus RS looks an enticing package for the boy racers. Austrian prices are quoted at €39,000, which at today’s rotten rates equates to about £32.5k.
