True, there are small utes, powered by V6 and four-cylinder turbodiesel engines, but these are entry-level models not completely representative of Land Rover's core image. With the exception of the 500, Fiat’s cars in Europe are not exactly on a roll. Nothing new is really happening on the new model front with Sergio Marchionne hunkered down to try and weather the sales slump, but things are a bit brighter for Fiat in South America.
New car sales see record growth period
Fri, 06 Jun 2014ANOTHER rise last month has taken UK car sales to their longest-ever period of growth. A total of 194,032 new cars were registered in May – a 7.7% rise on the May 2013 figure, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) said. The increase last month was the 27th consecutive monthly rise – beating the previous record of 26 months of growth between May 1987 and June 1989.
