It looks as though Lexus are looking seriously at adding coupes in to their range, at least according to Lexus Product Planning Manager Ben J. Ferrari 612 Shooting Brake Spy shot Last week we ran a story about the replacement for Ferrari’s four-seat supercar, the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti. The basic premise was that Ferrari would be bringing the replacement for the 612 Scaglietti to the Geneva Motor Show in March, and that it would feature a new, 650bhp V12 engine, and 4×4 platform and be a Shooting Brake. All of which was a cobbling together from bits of information we’ve received when we started to dig around for information after Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo recently said there will be a “very different Ferrari” at Geneva.

Saab sale to NEVS delayed

The sale of what’s left of Saab to National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS) has been delayed over funding and rights to the Saab name. We all thought, finally, that the end of the Saab saga had come when National Electric Vehicle Sweden was successful in gaining approval from the Saab administrators to acquire what was left of Saab after GM and Spyker failed to agree the sale of Saab as a going concern. The sad fact is that NEVS aren’t planning to carry on the proud tradition of Saab, with its innovative and quirky cars so loved by design professionals, but plan to put the Saab badge on a range of new electric cars.
