Sat, 12 Sep 2009Interior of the Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari which is heading for Frankfurt Fiat say that the Tributo Ferrari is distinguished by substantial modifications that have been developed by Abarth and Ferrari. Most substantial of these is probably the 1.4 litre turbo, which has been tweaked to give over 180bhp. But the revisions all round are quite a bit more than a cosmetic job to create a cheap baby Ferrari.

But in these strange, ‘Green’ times that doesn’t sit well with the public (or at least with car makers perception of what the public think) so car makers are looking to re-align their image. BMW has gone from the ‘Ultimate Driving Machine’ to ‘Joy’, and Mitsubishi wants us to think of it as a maker of fluffy-bunnie, eco-cars that do everything the buyer wants, but eat CO2 for breakfast and run on fresh air.

Mon, 10 Jan 2011Ford C-Max Hybrid & C-Max Energi revealed in Detroit Ford are starting to roll out their ‘Eco’ future at the Detroit Motor Show, and first to get the wraps off are a pair of C-Max Hybrids – the Ford C-Max Energi and the Ford C- Max Hybrid. And in case you haven’t guessed already, one is a plug-in, the other isn’t. Does that sound like a Prius?
