You are bidding on a used steering column removed from various 89 Camaros & Firebird  models.  This column is for an automatic transmission, and has tilt, delay wipers and no cruise control.  This is NOT compatible with steering wheel mounted radio controls on some GTA models.  Column is in good condition, the icons on the lever will be slightly faded.  All columns have a key.  This part fits the following applications:

 89 Camaro, RS, Z28

88 GTA (some 88 Trans Am GTA models were equipped with VAT columns, check your application before purchase)

89 Firebird Formula Trans Am GTA (does not work with GTA radio steering wheel controls)

NOTE : All 89-02 Camaros and Firebirds have a security system (VATS) built into the ignition cylinder and ignition key (pellet) that is matched to a security box behind your dash.  There are 15 different possible security pellet codes.  The odds of our column matching your existing ignition key pellet code is 15-1, therefore it will more than likely be necessary for you to have our key duplicated with your key's security chip/pellet code.  If the codes do not match, your car WILL NOT crank nor start.  Installing these columns requires disarming your SIR/SRS (airbag) system, please refer to a factory service manual for proper installation to prevent deployment and/or injury.

But Nissan is already taking measures to increase its output of electric motors from its engine factory in Decherd, Tenn., says Bill Krueger, Nissan Americas vice chairman and senior vice president for manufacturing, purchasing production engineering and supply chain management.

Concept Car of the Week: DeTomaso Zonda (1971)

Fri, 26 Jul 2013

Not satisfied in producing one of the most astonishing sports cars of the ‘60s with the Mangusta, Italian carmaker DeTomaso asserted its ambitions in 1970 by presenting an even more striking sports car, the Pantera, alongside the luxurious Deauville four-door sedan, both powered by the same Ford V8 engine. Those new gorgeous models were the work of Dutch-born Tom Tjaarda, then head of design at Ghia. Despite those amazing cars, the styling house was struggling to make a profit and that same year, Alejandro DeTomaso sold Ghia along with a large chunk of his company to Ford, which was looking for that exotic Italian touch.
