2012 Porsche Boxster unveiled

Thu, 12 Jan 2012

2012 Porsche Boxster revealed The 2012 Porsche Boxster has been revealed with a new lightweight body, revised chassis and engines – and looking much the same as the old Boxster. The 2012 Porsche Boxster (or, as always, if you’re on the other side of the Pond, the 2013 Porsche Boxster) has been revealed, not at the Detroit Auto Show, but, just as Audi did yesterday with the A6 Allroad, as a diversion from the car antics in North America. Looking, as you would expect from Porsche, little different to the current Boxster, the new Porsche Boxster does however get a thorough makeover of body, engines and chassis to make the new Boxster fit to fight for another decade (or so).

Hot turbo engines for BMW's 3-Series

Fri, 11 Aug 2006

By Angus Fitton Motor Industry 11 August 2006 10:36 Three new six-cylinder engines are joining the BMW 3-Series range. Top of the pile – until the V8 M3 arrives – is the 335d, which runs the twin-turbo 3.0-litre diesel engine offered in the 5-series. An explosive 428lb ft of torque (that's more than the V10 M5) and 286bhp means it can surge to 62mph in only 6.2sec.

Daydreaming of nudist beaches whilst driving? BMW has the answer.

BMW Lane Departure Warning - just in case you're daydreaming BMW has a new advert for its lane departure warning system featuring a daydreaming man and his vibrating head. We’ve all done it (well, we all have) – managed to drive to wherever we’re going without remembering a single thing about the uneventful journey. We all think that if something did happen our brains would jump back in to focus and attend to whatever it is that needs attending to.
