This is a pair of transom brackets removed from a 1975 9.9 hp Evinrude outboard. These show normal signs of use, but are in good working condition. One clamp is missing handle and backing plate as can be seen in pictures. This will work on 9.9 and 15 hp Johnson Evinrude outboard models from 1974-1976. Wed, 08 May 2013As CAR reported in our scoop last week, VW will unveil a higher-performance Golf GTI hot hatch at the 2013 Wörthersee show, and here we have the first sketches of the super-Golf. Called the VW Design Vision Golf GTI, the concept packs close to 500bhp and can outrun a Porsche 911. It's by far the most extreme Golf hot hatch since the Bentley-engined GTI W12 concept of 2007.
VW recalls Jettas for wiring problem
Mon, 28 Mar 2011Volkswagen of America Inc. on Monday voluntarily recalled 71,043 2011 Jettas because of wiring problems with the anti-theft alarm system and horn. "The current electrical wiring layout has the horn wiring protected by the same fuse as the converter box wiring," said VW spokeswoman Sheriece Matias.
Opel Insignia Sports Tourer wagon spotted near GM's proving grounds
Wed, 17 Oct 2012Just like my parents used to say, “You can't get anything by us, we have eyes everywhere.” Ominous threats aside, GM's European unit Opel tried to sneak an Insignia Sports Tourer station wagon onto the roads of Michigan. Luckily our roving eyes spotted the car--complete with turbo badges--and sent some photos back to the mothership. A wagon version of the European sedan has been spotted on Michigan roads before.
