Fri, 15 Nov 2013Mercedes-Benz has confirmed its SLS AMG supercar will bow out at the 2013 LA and Tokyo Motor Shows with a limited-numbers GT Final Edition. The 350 examples of the SLS AMG GT Final Edition available are said to represent the ‘last opportunity’ for interested buyers to purchase an SLS before it gets pensioned off – perhaps in favour of a newer, smaller AMG-built sports car. End of the road for 'Queen's favourite' car

The last Land Rover Defender will be produced by Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) at Solihull in the West Midlands in December 2015. Featuring in the Angelina Jolie film Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and in the latest James Bond movie, Skyfall, the Defender name can be traced back to the early 1990s.
Toyota’s Hiromu Naruse dies in LFA Nurburgring accident
Wed, 23 Jun 2010Hiromu Naruse dies in LFA Nurburgring Frankly, we’re not too sure of all the details, but it appears that Hiromu Naruse, Toyota’s Chief Test Driver – and Akio Toyoda’s personal driver – has been killed on a public road near the Nurburgring whilst at the wheel of a Lexus LFA Nurburgring Special. The reports coming in state that Naruse collided with a BMW being driven by two test drivers. Neither of the test drivers in the BMW was killed, although it seems that one has life threatening injuries and is in a critical condition.
