The 9" diameter Shrinking Disc is for use on 7" & 9" grinders, air and electric & buffers with 5/8"-11 spindles that use a 7/8 o.d. nut the most common size Made from 16 gage .062 304 Stainless Steel

stamped for flatness and balance with a 90° turned up outer lip for added rigidity and saftey.
Shrink stretched or damaged metal panels by appling concentrated heating through surface contact friction generated between the disc and a clean body panel.
The panel area worked with the disc and rapidly cooled with water or commpresed air will shrink down the high points.
These shrinking discs work on steel or aluminum but we do not suggest swithcing from steel to aluminum without dressing the disc with 150 grit sand paper on a block so as not to imbed steel into an aluminum panel and causing corrosion issues down the road.

they also work excellent on removing those "oil can" dents that you have
overworked and stretched the metal too much!

Once you have started using the shrinking disc and get a little practice under your belt, it will
make you feel more confident in your metalworking skills when you can finish a panel with no
body filler at all.

Repeat the process as needed to work the panel flat and level.
The shrinking disc will smooth out damaged surfaces, and try it on dressed out, butt welded seams. Learn to use virtually no fillers,  the thinner the filler the longer the repair will last, panels can be worked so smooth the a high build filler primer is all that is needed to be ready for paint. The surface to be repaired must be dollied up level or slightly higher for this form of shrinking to work properly. Also offered in a 4.5" diameter model.

Pagani Huayra sets Top Gear lap record and places marker for McLaren P1

Tue, 29 Jan 2013

The Pagani Huyra set a stunning record time on the Top Gear track last week and in the process laid down a marker for the new McLaren P1. The return of Top Gear at the weekend for Series 19 saw Richard Hammond get to grips with the Pagani Huayra – successor to his beloved Zonda – and after a thoroughly positive test drive Hammond handed over to the Stig to take the Huayra round the Top Gear track. In the hands of the Stig, the 6.0 litre V12 AMG engine with 730 horses powered the Huayra to a time of just 1:13.8, beating the previous record for a production car, held by the Ariel Atom V8, by a sizeable 1.3 seconds.
