Chevrolet touts the 2012 Sonic's 40-mpg highway rating

With an EPA-rated 40 mpg on the highway, Chevrolet is calling its 2012 Sonic one of the most fuel-efficient small cars on the market. Chevy says that 40-mpg rating puts the Sonic right on par with the 2012 Ford Fiesta and the Hyundai Accent in terms of eco-friendliness. In city driving, the 1.4-liter turbocharged Ecotec engine gets 29 mpg.

Renault inaugurates Global Design Studio in Mumbai

On Wednesday this week Renault inaugurated their global design studio in Mumbai, India. The Renault Design India Studio is the sixth edition to Renault's international network of satellite design centres following those in Barcelona, Paris, Kihueng (Korea), Sao Paolo and Bucharest (Romania) and is the third to be inaugurated this year. Ford begins Daventry site transformation

FORD IS to invest millions of pounds in a new, state-of-the-art training facility on its existing site in Daventry, Northamptonshire, as part of a wider forward-looking programme. The new site will merge the capabilities of two existing Ford colleges – the Technical Training Centre located separately at Daventry, and the Henry Ford College in Loughborough, which provides training for technicians, sales staff and management throughout Ford’s national dealer network. Scheduled to open next year, the brand-new centre will replace the existing facilities to become a centre of excellence for training across the country.
