Up for auction here is a center console and floor shifter from a 1990 Lumina Euro. They are being sold as a package so you will receive both items! The console is in very condition for its age. I did clean it up some and it brightened up well. It does have the stock shifter cover in the center. All the mounting tabs are intact, however I did notice one of them had cracked through (see photo with my finger). I super glued the two pieces back together so it is solid now. The padded arm rest is not split or cracked. I think the photo's should show the condition well. Please be sure this is the correct units for your application before purchasing. I may need to ship these in separate boxes. Thanks for looking!

Kia to debut 2 midsize sedans within 6 months

China to boost electric cars with 30% Government EV fleet
Sun, 20 Jul 2014The BYD E6 EV (pictured) will benefit from China’s push on EVs The UK government has just announced its commitment to use electric cars for its own vehicles in an effort to boost the take-up of EVs, but China is going even further. China has ordered government officials to start buying electric cars (that means BEVs, plug-in hybrids and hydrogen fuel cell cars) in a big way, with instructions that 30 per cent of government cars must fall in to the ‘New Energy’ category by 2017, and an even higher percentage going forward. The aim is to cut pollution, and China expects to have 5 million New Energy cars on the road by 2020 and it is urging it government agencies and some city governments to start buying New Energy vehicles from Chinese makers like BYD and SDAIC, but also instructing them to build more charging stations and supporting infrastructure.

Finished in the same striking green as the production Skoda Fabia vRS, the vRS 2000 is a concept car put together just for the GTI-Treffen event in Worthersee and is based on the Fabia vRS 2000 rally car and, as Skoda boss said, Worthersee “…is a welcome opportunity for us to show off our sports models and make sure that everyone knows that Škoda really has something to offer here.” It would have been hard to believe even just a few years ago that a car like the vRS 200 could ever come out of Skoda, but we’re now at the point where, if you can set aside badge snobbery, Skoda often has more to offer than parent VW.
