With Volvo beginning a new chapter in its design history with the Concept Coupé, it's interesting to look back at another Volvo coupé concept from 1979 – the Tundra. At the time, the Swedish manufacturer built large and relatively pricey cars that were neither really luxurious nor real 'people cars'. The 340 series began the brand's expansion towards more affordable models and proved to be very successful worldwide.

Photographs of racing legends from yesteryear will help the young drivers of tomorrow through an auction over Labor Day weekend at Lime Rock. Autographed vintage photos of famous drivers will be sold to benefit a charity called Survive the Drive, which educates and trains high-school drivers in the Northeast. The program helped more than 10,000 students in the 2008-09 school year.
