2010 BMW X6 M: Fast and fun--whatever the heck it is

Wed, 12 Aug 2009

Barreling around the racetrack, there's little lean entering the corners, plenty of thrust on exit and a monster amount of grip everywhere, and if it feels taxed at all, it's ever so briefly as the nose aims left and up from turn five for the steep climb out of the esses. Road Atlanta is plain ol' fast, and the BMW X6 M does well to keep pace, spilling gobs of power all over the track, blazing down the long back straight to nearly 140 mph, maneuvering like no two-and-half-ton pile of metal should. Citroen DS Wild Rubis concept (2013) first official pictures

Thu, 11 Apr 2013

Citroen's DS Wild Rubis concept shows how a DS-badged SUV could look, and could lead to a high-riding model for the 4x4-loving Chinese market. It's the latest concept to showcase a possible future styling direction for Citroen's DS sub-brand, the quasi-premium offshoot of Citroen's main range. Tell me about the Citroen DS Wild Rubis Riding on 21in wheels, the Wild Rubis has a Mercedes ML-class-sized footprint, but is lower than a conventional posh-roader, standing 1.59m tall – about the same height as Citroen's own DS4 crossover.

BMW to develop small hybrid with Peugeot Citroen

Tue, 19 Oct 2010

BMW are developing a small hybrid with Hybrids may be just a passing fad, but that’s not stopping car makers piling in to them in droves to battle CO2 and emissions targets. For BMW, their hybrid foray has so far been limited to the top end of their range, but that is set to change. We already know that BMW are developing a small, front wheel drive range which will sit underneath the current 1-Series, and it’s for these cars – and possibly for MINI too – that BMW has embarked on a partnership agreement with PSA (Peugeot Citroen) to jointly develop a small hybrid.
