AMG Action! Mercedes eyes new naturally aspirated V8

Mercedes-Benz has selected the twin turbocharged 5.5-liter V8 engine to power the recently unveiled S63 AMG, CL63 AMG and CLS63 AMG, with ratings between 525 hp and 577 hp. But it's going to be a different story for the successor to the SLK55 AMG set to be revealed at next year's Frankfurt motor show. Cadillac ATS priced at $33,990

The 2013 Cadillac ATS, which we first saw at the Detroit auto show, will start at $33,990 when it goes on sale this summer, General Motors said on Monday. The range-topping version will carry a price of $42,090. Power for the base model will come from a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that returns 30 mpg on the highway.
