Nissan Helps World's Strongest Man Set New World Record
Wed, 04 Dec 2013THE WORLD'S strongest man, Zydrunas Savickas, set a new Guinness world record for the Most Cars Pulled By One Man when he towed 12 Nissan Notes weighing a total 12,941kg. Savickas, five-times World Strongest Man champion and widely regarded as the one of the greatest strongmen of all time, only had one attempt to set the new record. Wearing a specialised pulling harness and rope arrangement he pulled the 12 Notes over five metres, accomplishing the feat in 32.9 seconds.

Tue, 13 Sep 2011Mercedes today unveiled the F125 concept car - a car bearing the three-pointed star's F name to demark it as a tech testbed, and the 125 to mark Merc's 125th anniversary in this four-wheeled business. It's a hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle, and Merc claims a punchy 1000km (620-mile) range. But the scientists here are proud of the cutting edge lithium sulphur batteries, used to store energy created by the fuel-cell.
Nissan DeltaWing tests at Road Atlanta
Tue, 25 Sep 2012The experimental Nissan DeltaWing racecar will be back in action during the finale of the American Le Mans Series race at Road Atlanta on Oct. 17-20. It will be piloted by Nissan's first GT Academy champion, Lucas Ordonez, and ALMS 2011 PC-class champion Gunnar Jeannette.
