Peugeot 207 Economique – the 99g car
Mon, 20 Jul 2009The Peugeot 207 Economique - guess what its CO2 is?! As you may well have guessed, this is another car maker rolling out the usual low rolling resistance, lowered suspension, gear-change-light, steel wheels version of their regular runaround to create a car that magically dips below 100g/km CO2. Of course it’s completely disingenuous, because unless you drive like you’re carrying the last live eggs of the Dodo all the time you won’t get the CO2 levels quoted, and nor will you get the headline economy.
Porsche Macan to get VW 4-cylinder engines in 2014
Thu, 12 Dec 2013The new Porsche Macan (pictured) will get 4-cylinder engine options in 2014 The new Porsche Macan arrived officially just a few weeks ago, complete with a choice of six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines and prices starting at £43k. But that’s just the start. Porsche has now confirmed that, before the end of 2014, the Macan will get some more affordable engine options with both petrol and diesel 4-cylinder engines finding their way under the Macan’s Cayenne-esque bonnet.
Lotus Evora – all new photos
Sat, 02 May 2009All new pictures of the Lotus Evora - to be launched in the UK in June It does seem to have taken for ever to get the Lotus Evora in to showrooms – it’s been coming for almost a year now. We did finally get Lotus Evora specifications and UK prices back in March, but even though the launch has once again been put back (from May until June) the release of these photos is clear evidence that finally the Lotus Evora is about ready. The first four-seater Lotus in an age (although it’s really a 2+2, and then only if you pay extra for the rear seats), the Evora has a mid-engined 3.5 litre V6 Toyota lump, fettled and sorted by Lotus to produce 276bhp.
