This valve allows air to pass around the throttle plates to control engine idle speed. It is controlled by the computer.
FAILURE SYMPTOMS
Vehicle stalling, high or low idle speeds. "Check Engine" light on continuously.
MAINTENANCE/SERVICE:
Check for carbon buildup and clean passages every 25,000 miles. Replace according to manufacturer's specifications.
