Tata ramps up production of Nano to boost slow sales

Tata is cranking up supply of the Nano in India to counter sluggish sales. Until now, supply has been pretty limited with sales most months struggling to break beyond four figures; hardly the breakthrough expected from the widely hyped cheapest car in the world. A new plant in Sanand recently came on stream and it has a capacity of 250,000 cars a year.

New app from Pirelli tracks biker's performance

Pirelli has launched an iPhone app for motorcyclists that tracks speed, lean angle, road routes and racetrack lap times. The results can be shared via social media. The app, named Diablo Super Biker, uses the phone's GPS and g meter to calculate and record the info.

BMW release PRAT roundels for the UK General Election There were so many April Fools stories running around yesterday from car makers we really didn’t want to spend the day regurgitating press releases designed to demonstrate car makers’ normally well-hidden sense of humour.
