GM ride-and-drive event puts interns behind the wheel
Fri, 22 Jul 2011Interns here at AutoWeek are fortunate enough to be in and out of all sorts of cars, from the little Fiat 500 to the phenomenal Lexus LFA. But rarely do we get our own event like the Intern Ride and Drive hosted by General Motors in downtown Detroit on Friday. The event, set up and run by GM's own interns, involved summer help from local broadcast-media outlets, newspapers and many Detroit-area automotive publications.
Infiniti future products: Making room for three additions to the lineup
Wed, 17 Aug 2011Nissan Motor Co.'s Infiniti luxury brand will develop three all-new vehicles over the next three to four years: a compact sedan, a family-sized crossover and an electric luxury car based on the Nissan Leaf. The plan is part of Infiniti's goal to increase sales and market share in the United States and globally. In June, Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn set a goal of more than tripling Infiniti's annual global sales to 500,000 units by 2016.
