Audi Q3: Official
Wed, 13 Apr 2011Audi Q3 – finally official Ahead of its official reveal at Shanghai this month, the baby SUV that is the Audi Q3 has bowed in, with plenty of detail and lots of photos. Looking exactly how it was expected to look – pretty much the same as the 2007 Audi Cross Coupe Concept , without the Concepty bits – and ready to fit in under the Q5 and mop up sales from those who want a premium, compact softroader. Under the skin the Audi Q3 is pure VW Tiguan, but Audi has grafted on a convincing set of sheet metal – and a typical, classy Audi interior – to put proper daylight between the cousins.
Honda confirms 'mobile desk chair'
Thu, 14 Nov 2013HONDA has announced details for a new version of its existing Uni-Cub ‘personal mobility solution’ – essentially a powered office chair. The Uni-Cub β is a development of the initial concept that appeared in 2012 as a bizarre solution to mobility around typical office-based work environments, although it would seem that no one at Honda had considered that humans have legs for that. It uses an omni-directional driving wheel system derived from Honda’s research into humanoid robots like the well-known ASIMO, allowing it to move in any direction according to the weight shifts of its user.
Henrik Fisker resigns from Fisker Automotive
Wed, 13 Mar 2013Henrik Fisker, founder and executive chairman of struggling plug-in hybrid vehicle maker Fisker Automotive, has resigned. In an email today to Automotive News, Henrik Fisker, referring to himself in the third person, said: "The main reasons for his resignation are several major disagreements that Henrik Fisker has with the Fisker Automotive executive management on the business strategy." Fisker confirmed his resignation in a phone interview and declined to comment further. Tony Posawatz, who became president and CEO of the company in August, said this morning that he had just been made aware of the resignation.
