Aston Martin Coupé Zagato Centennial and Spyder Zagato Centennial
Mon, 22 Jul 2013American car collector Peter Read has commissioned a pair of Zagato-bodied Aston Martins that coincide with the British marque's centenary. The DBS Coupé Zagato Centennial and DB9 Spyder Zagato Centennial are the hard- and soft-top siblings are the latest in a long line of collaborations between the two companies. But while many have been – an admittedly more exuberant – expression of contemporary Aston design language, the Centennials have a stronger individual identity with an almost sedan-like aesthetic with forward-leaning noses and long Kamm tails.

Unlike the Riviera concept shown in Shanghai last year, the Invicta is slated for production soon given the level of refinement we saw when we viewed the car in Beijing. And unlike some market-specific new cars unveiled at the show, the Invicta will make its way to other markets across the globe. Thu, 05 Nov 2009Scrappage Scheme sales accounted for 20% of sales in October Despite our reservations about the Scrappage Scheme, it does seem that it has inspired buyers in to showrooms in the last few months. And October has recorded a year on year increase of 31.6%, although total car sales are still down over 12% on 2008 figures. October saw a big rise in new cars sales to private buyers with sales rocketing by 86%, and there were rises in the fleet and business market.
