To follow on from the success of last years event in Barcelona, the event was held in the stylish Es Hotel in Rome, Italy. Finally, after much teasing, here it is, Lamborghini’s carbonfibre concept car – the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento. Unveiled on the eve of the 2010 Paris motor show at the Volkswagen Group’s massive pre-show party, it’s a sub-1000kg supercar with a 562bhp V10, and previews the future lightweight construction methods that Lambo will use on its next V12 supercar and other future models. Sesto Elemento is Italian for sixth element, which is carbon.

We guess it's not all GTOs and 458 Italias. The word out of Italy is that Ferrari is looking at cutting production and eliminating 9 percent of its workers after sister company Maserati cut engine orders. Ferrari made only about 4,500 engines for Maserati last year, compared with nearly 9,000 in 2008.
