Geneva 2011 - Best in Show

Fri, 04 Mar 2011

Unlike Detroit, which generated a lot of hype for what turned out to be not as much new product as we'd hoped, the Geneva show was a true return to form, with all new vehicles occupying various different market segments making their debuts. Porsche 911 Turbo S China 10th Anniversary Edition revealed

Mon, 30 May 2011

China is now the second most important market for Porsche with the Stuttgart car maker now shifting almost 14,000 cars a year, a big change from the handful it managed in 2002. Big markets deserve special editions, and with plenty of wealthy individuals in China keen to have something no one else has, the Porsche 911 Turbo S China 10th Anniversary Edition – a moniker which fortunately isn’t written on the boot – will sell out straight away.

UPDATE-Ford announced Tuesday the Focus nameplate sold more than 1,020,000 units in 2012 making it the best-selling passenger car in the world. Data supporting the claim came from Polk's annual vehicle-registration review, which, since it accounts for data from around the globe, comes out three to four months later than other 2012 recap results. In China, registrations for Focus vehicles were up 51 percent, accounting for nearly one in four global Focus sales, according to Polk.
