Aston Martin V8 Vantage (2012) the Vantage S-inspired upgrade

Mon, 20 Feb 2012

This is Aston Martin’s new V8 Vantage, with a new gearbox, styling tweaks and chassis upgrades. You might think it looks little different than before – and that’s no bad thing – but Aston Martin claims the updates amount to ‘most comprehensive programme of enhancements’ since the 4.7-litre version of the V8 Vantage was launched in 2008. The new Aston Martin V8 Vantage will be unveiled at the Geneva motor show in March 2012, just in time to distract potential customers away from the new Porsche 911.  So what’s new about the new Aston Martin V8 Vantage?

Jaguar XKR-S: Geneva reveal +video

Tue, 01 Mar 2011

Jaguar XKR-S revealed in Geneva The Jaguar XKR-S is Jaguar’s fastest series production car, and is as sure a sign as you can get of the potential Jaguar has. And, perhaps more importantly,  the confidence Jaguar has in its ability to deliver on its promise, and to push the boundaries. Jaguar purists will complain that the XKR-S is too shouty, too loud, not quite Jaguar.

Saab seeks court protection from creditors

Wed, 07 Sep 2011

Saab is filing for protection from creditors from a Swedish district court, the automaker's owner, Swedish Automobile, said Wednesday. Saab is seeking court approval for a voluntary reorganization to secure short-term stability while it waits for funding from Chinese investors Pang Da and Zhejiang Youngman, Swedish Automobile said in a statement. Victor Muller, CEO of both Saab and Swedish Automobile, said in a statement: "We have concluded that a voluntary reorganization process will provide us with the necessary time, protection and stabilization of the business, allowing salary payments to be made, short-term funding to be obtained and an orderly restart of production to be prepared." Muller remains optimistic about Saab's future.
