2015 Nissan Versa Note gets an upgrade
Thu, 06 Feb 2014Nissan revealed the 2015 Versa Note SR at the Chicago Auto Show on Thursday. The hatchback was joined on the stand by the Frontier diesel pickup. The SR trim of the diminutive Note gets a new front bumper and grille with dark headlight treatments and fog lights with black chrome accents.
Fisker goes to China's Wanxiang
Mon, 17 Feb 2014China's Wanxiang Group won an auction for Fisker Automotive Holdings Inc., the maker of luxury plug-in hybrid cars, with a $149.2 million bid, almost six times what Fisker was seeking when it filed for bankruptcy. Wanxiang topped Hybrid Tech Holdings during the auction, which began on Wednesday and went through 19 rounds of bidding, with an offer that includes $126.2 million in cash and $8 million in assumed liabilities, Fisker said Friday in a statement. It's a hydrogen fuel cell-powered concept car that'll debut on Nissan's stand at the 2012 Paris motor show from 27 September. Strictly a design study with no plans for production, it does nevertheless confirm that Nissan is thinking seriously about fuel cell-equipped cars, and that once the infrastructure is viable, Nissans will be quick to adapt to a hydrogen-fuelled future. It's not Leaf-style EVs, you know.
