Hongik University Degree Show 2008
Tue, 10 Feb 2009Hongik University held its tenth annual Degree Show late last year at the university's Modern Gallery in Seoul, Korea. With a focus on creating the next generation of sedans for the graduating students' favorite brands, luxury sedans were developed using various design procedures. The students produced sketches, a 1/10 half-mirror clay model, a 3D model with scanned modeling data in Alias, and created the proposals using a CNC machine.
Manzoni, Ingenlath and Hildebrand to speak at Auto Design Prague
Tue, 26 Aug 2014The fourth annual Auto Design Prague conference will take place on 18 September at the National Technical Library in Prague-Dejvice. The event is open to professionals and the wider public, and will include a program of 10 presentations by designers including vice president of Ferrari design, Flavio Manzoni; Volvo design director Thomas Ingenlath; Jaguar's advanced design director, Julian Thompson, and Qoros head of design, Gert Hildebrand. Faster Gumpert Apollo model to debut in Geneva
Thu, 12 Feb 2009They may not be lookers, but there is no denying the performance credentials of Roland Gumpert's Apollo sports cars. With the base 650-hp engine package, the brainchild of the former director of Audi Sport is capable of reaching 60 mph in less than three seconds with a top speed or more than 200 mph. But now Gumpert is planning to reveal a faster chapter in the line at next month's Geneva motor show with the Apollo Speed.
