Alfa's North America return pushed to 2013
Mon, 11 Apr 2011Alfa Romeo's return to North America has been delayed at least a half year partly because Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne is not satisfied with the design of the cars that will lead the brand's comeback in the crucial market, people with direct knowledge of the matter told Automotive News Europe. The delay also is a serious blow to Alfa in Europe because without the Giulia mid-sized sedan and station wagon the automaker will have one of the weakest premium brand lineups in Europe. The styling echoes the new Chevy Malibu saloon, and the designers claim to have added seven miles to the Volt’s electric-only range by smoothing some of the edges and creases in the original shape. They claim the Volt will now travel 40 miles on electric power, enough for the daily needs of 70 percent of American drivers.

Fri, 31 Aug 2007Rundgang 2007, the annual design degree show held at the Braunschweig University of Art in Germany, took place July 11-15 2007 and showcased a variety of different work created by the graduating class of students in the Transportation Design program. The show displayed final thesis projects as well as sponsored projects from the last term. Volkswagen Viseo Concept Marc Kirsch Marc Kirsch's diploma project was created in collaboration with Volkswagen design in Wolfsburg.
