Public supports 20mph urban speed limits

78% of people think 20mph speed limits should be introduced as the norm in residential areas, around schools and in town centres, according to road safety charity Brake. It comes as the charity introduces its GO 20 campaign, calling on politicians to support changing the default urban speed limit to 20mph. The Fiat Freemont – for that is what Fiat had decided to rename the Dodge Challenger for Europe –  would effectively be a replacement for the Fiat Ulysse MPV. It seems that Fiat has caught up with our story, so we now have official details on what the Freemont will offer.

You could never really call the Caterham Seven modern – its look has remained fundamentally unchanged since the original Lotus Seven (the car Caterham would eventually buy the rights to build) launched back in 1957. Today, the engine is still in the front, those delightfully exposed front wheels still float over bumps and the frog-eyed headlights serve as a reminder of years gone by. And now the modern Seven has been taken right back to the period where it was first conceived, with these Grand Prix-style racers from Zolland Design.
