Sun, 06 Jul 2014British Grand Prix 2014: Result The 2014 British Grand Prix at Silverstone was all set up for a cracking race with the Williams and Ferraris at the back of the grid after calling the rain wrongly in qualifying and Lewis Hamilton in sixth after his own bad judgement on the state of the track. But did that make for an exciting race? Hamilton moved from sixth to fourth at the start – and Button up to second – but the first lap saw a heavy crash by Kimi Raikkonen – collecting Felipe Massa in a near head-on in the process – bringing proceedings to an abrupt halt.
CAR sets new hybrid speed world record in Infiniti M35h
Tue, 20 Sep 2011Infiniti M35h Hybrid (2011) long-term test review CAR Magazine has set a new Guinness World Record for an acceleration run in a hybrid car. Associate editor Tim Pollard drove an Infiniti M35h hybrid to record a 13.9sec time over the standing quarter mile - as quick as a Lamborghini Countach would've been in the 1980s. Jaguar Land Rover: 800 new jobs & record sales
Mon, 14 Jan 2013Jaguar Land Rover are creating 800 new jobs at their Solihull plant as they reveal record sales for 2012 of 335,000 vehicles. The end of last week saw Honda plans to cut 800 jobs as the European market for Honda fizzled under a cloud of economic gloom, but no such problems at Jaguar Land Rover. Jaguar Land Rover has revealed plans for 800 new jobs at Solihull (following on from 1,000 new jobs last March, 1100 new jobs last July and 1000 new jobs in November 2011), after revealing record sales across the globe in 2012, selling an impressive 335,000 vehicles.
