Winner, Winner Car-Guy Dinner! Celebrity chef Fieri gets wild Garage Mahal to keep toys, friends rockin'
Wed, 28 Oct 2009In the vernacular of rock-and-roll TV chef Guy Fieri, his new car crib is way off the hook. Built for Fieri as a DIY Network television showpiece, the two-car-plus garage space is like the owner himself--flashy, flamboyant and full-on car-guy comfortable. Back in the spring, AutoWeek spent time with Fieri and watched as he doted on and drooled over his cars.
Peugeot confirms BB1 for production
Wed, 13 Jan 2010Peugeot has confirmed it will build a production version of the BB1, the concept car that's a cross between a car and a scooter. Coming less than a week after it unveiled the SR1 – a roadster concept car that’s supposed to be a line in the sand for Peugeot design – the announcement came as the 200-year old French car company launched its Marque plan that'a aimed at rejuvenating the brand. The five-year scheme has three goals: to move Peugeot up three places in the world car market; to establish the company as a benchmark for style; and to make it a leader in mobility services.
Hyundai releases second-generation Genesis renders
Thu, 24 Oct 2013Hyundai's second-generation Genesis has been previewed in new renders ahead of its full reveal in Korea later this year. The Genesis, which will hit the carmaker's stand at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in January, is the first model developed with Hyundai's new ‘Fluidic Sculpture 2.0' design language. It features several cues seen on the HCD-14 Genesis concept, unveiled at this year's NAIAS, such as the sharp shoulder line and the single-frame hexagonal grille design. In fact, it's nearly unchanged from the beltline up. At the rear, the sweeping roofline flows to a short trunk lid while the rear lamps wrap around from the tailgate into the rear-quarter panels.
