Hyundai increases its European Market share by 10%

Despite a weak car sales market across Europe, Hyundai has managed to increase its market share in January 2013 by almost 10 per cent. As we reported just the other day, the European car market is in a bit of a mess with sales down by 9.6% in January 2013 and even the mighty sales of the VW Golf – Europe’s best-selling car – dropping by 17.8 per cent. But despite the European car market falling back, Hyundai has managed to increase its market share in Europe by almost 10 per cent, from 3.3 per cent in January 2012 to 3.6 per cent in January 2013.

Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG wagon headed to North America

Mercedes-Benz officials confirmed on Thursday that the 2012 E63 AMG wagon will be part of the North American lineup. Slated to arrive in October, the high-performance wagon will get the same 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged, direct-injection V8 that debuted in the 2012 E63 AMG sedan at the New York auto show in March. It produces 518 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque.

Mercedes is expanding the C-class range further with this new C-class Coupe. Due to be shown at the 2011 Geneva motor show, the new two-door C apes the larger CLS in style, yet is tipped to cost from £30,000 when sales start in June 2011. The C-class Coupe essentially slots in where the CLK left off.
