Wed, 21 Sep 2011Though you'll see the usual assortment of restored muscle cars and one-of-a-kind automotive delights at the Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas auction, it's the buyers who make this event a little different, organizers say. "Most of the vehicles we sell in Vegas go to first-time buyers--and they want drivers," said Craig Jackson, CEO of the auction company. "They're end users and drivers, rather than speculators." The RRS Autobiography will also get two-tone leather interior and be available as either a 3.6 litre TDV8 or the full-fat Supercharged version. Almost sinking in to oblivion after GM decided to wind it down after failing to secure a buyer who would jump through the required hoops, Spyker is now in control and production has restarted at Trollhatten. It is true that we did report Saab 9-4x production had started back in January, but that was just a limited number of cars for evaluation and crash testing and was prior to the Spyker deal completing.
