2011 BMW 5 Series leaks

Thu, 05 Nov 2009

A leaked photo of the 2011 BMW 5 Series We’ve seen the next generation, 2011 BMW 5 Series pounding round the Nurburgring in disguise for quite some time. But with the 2011 5 Series due to hit the car shows in 2010 we’ve finally got hold of what appears to be a leak from the Swedish version of the German car magazine Auto Motor & Sport. Lexus LS TMG Edition uncovered

Wed, 21 Sep 2011

And the latest indication of that new direction is the very warm super saloon that is the Lexus LS TMG Edition, spotted lurking in a garage near the Nurburgring in between runs round the ‘Ring. The LS TMG Edition apparently sports a 5.0 litre V8 with 641bhp and 524lb/ft of torque, which will be enough to hit a 4.0 second 0-60mph and a top speed of around 200mph.

A greater influx of part-exchange cars arriving at dealers is partly responsible, and with many franchised dealers focusing for the time being on selling those vehicles, competition to acquire stock on the open market has decreased. CAP reports that the pressure has been lifted on some dealers who had become frustrated at how expensive it was becoming to source cars at fair prices.
