Utlizing design cues first seen in its larger sibling, the Mazda6, the dynamic redesign adds an air of masculinity to the small Mazda3, a car which, according to the Japanese company, has 'had every element developed for heightened exhilaration'.

GM reveals new, highly modular Ecotec engine family

GM introduced its new modular family of Ecotec engines on Wednesday at its powertrain headquarters in Pontiac, Mich. The new, reduced-in-size three- and four-cylinder mills will replace three of GM's current engine families, eventually making their way into five of the company's brands. The Ecotec family will eventually spawn 11 engines in total, ranging in displacement from 1.0 liter to 1.5 liters.

Our new spyshots reveal the sliding doors on next year's C-Max, which will improve practicality for families and parents armed with buggies and carry cots. Sources suggest that the sliding doors will be reserved for a longer wheelbase seven-seater C-Max, leaving the regular car with conventional doors and five seats.
