Self-driving Tesla could hit roads within three years
Tue, 01 Apr 2014Electric car manufacturer Tesla has said that self-driving cars could be a reality within the next three years, with the firm targeting a computer-guided version of its Model S saloon. Tesla chief executive officer Elon Musk said in an interview with the Financial Times that the autonomous driving technology would act like “an autopilot” that could be switched on and off like an aeroplane’s guidance system. Tue, 08 Sep 2009Volvo has facelifted the C30 for 2010 and will launch it at Frankfurt The front of the new C30 sports sheet metal changes to the wings and bonnet and a bigger Volvo badge on the honeycomb grill, together with bigger air intake. These changes reflect those seen on the new Volvo C70 and are a reflection of design cues from the S60 Concept. The rear gets a tweak too, and you now get a colour-coded rear valence, which can be specified in a contrast colour if you wish.
Kia Soulster concept unveiled at Detroit auto show 2009

But rather than a ultilitarian flat-bed, the Soulster concept is something at the very other end of the scale, designed to drum up interest in the Soul (on which it's based) before the B-segment baby goes on sale later in 2009. The Soulster concept was penned at Kia’s LA design studio – where the original Soul concept was created – and while there are no current production plans, company insiders have said that the right reaction from American customers could see the Soulster become a reality.
