Rated: self-braking cars that avoid a crash

The most recent advance in vehicle safety has to be the autonomous emergency braking system (AEB) – a sophisticated suite of sensors and electronics that monitors objects in front of your car, automatically applying the brakes for you if it senses you’re heading to hit something. Up until now these auto-brake features have not been rated, but ahead of a new 2014 test that will include AEB systems in its overall safety star scoring, Euro NCAP has put the some of the vehicles already equipped with this technology through their paces. L'argus European Design Competition 2004 announced

French magazine L'argus de l'automobile has launched its 3rd European Design Competition , with the theme: "Imagine the convertible utility vehicle" The competition has been run since 2002, asking students at European design schools to design original utility vehicles. The 2003 competition recieved more than 350 submissions from students of Europe's best schools of art and design. This year there are two major new features: extension of the competition to design students in the new European Union countries, and greater freedom for entrants, with a theme allowing more room for creativity.

2015 Subaru WRX revealed ahead of LA Auto Show

Subaru's 2015 WRX model is slated to make its world debut at the LA Auto Show, but we're getting an advanced look a the enthusiast favorite thanks to a brief teaser video and what may be a leaked image of the sedan making the rounds on the Web. The Japanese automaker has kept the new WRX pretty tightly under wraps. Besides the WRX concept we saw at the New York auto show , Subaru has released little more than a seven-second teaser video.
