Vauxhall Astra VXR Extreme (2014) latest details on Vauxhall’s super-hatch

The concept, which should see production in 2015, has more than 300PS (296bhp), and has shed 100kg from the standard road car’s kerbweight. That puts the Astra VXR’s mass at an estimated 1375kg.

A splendid new concours debuted on the sprawling main lawn of Lacy Park in sunny San Marino, Calif., on June 12--the San Marino Motor Classic. Featuring nearly 200 classic cars of all eras--from a Brass Era 1909 Pierce-Arrow Touring to a 2011 Ferrari 599 GTO--there was depth and breadth enough to satisfy everyone. Renault is set to unveil an Alpine-branded concept car at this weekend's Monaco Grand Prix.
