Fiat plans new high-performance Abarth models

Speaking exclusively to MSN Cars, Marco Magnanini, the European boss of Abarth, hinted that other models from Fiat could be given the Abarth treatment. Wheeler was in charge of TVR during some of the company’s finest modern years, launching lightweight and powerful rear-wheel drive Blackpool-built sports car including the Chimaera and Griffith, and the Cerbera, Tuscan, Tamora and Sagaris with TVR's own engine. Wheeler passed away during the night on Thursday 11 June after a short illness.
Ford's NA Design Director aims to shorten product lifecycles
Wed, 16 Jul 2008Peter Horbury, Ford Motor Company North America Design Director, has told Automotive News he intends to shorten product lifecycles at the ailing company from an average five years to three years starting this decade. "We feel there is no value in minor changes but a huge value in major changes," Horbury told the industry weekly. Ford needs to ensure that buyers continue visiting showrooms as the giant automaker struggles to retain market share.
