Scotland to ban petrol and diesel cars by 2050?
Wed, 25 Sep 2013The Scottish government is aiming to ban all petrol and diesel cars from towns, cities and other communities by 2050. This is according to a new “Switched On Scotland” document, intended to serve as a ‘roadmap’ towards the future that encourages businesses and private motorists to swap to electric vehicles (EVs). Lexus RC Coupe revealed at Tokyo Motor Show
Wed, 20 Nov 2013The Lexus RC coupe debuted on Wednesday at the Tokyo motor show. The RC coupe will available with two different powertrain options; the RC 350 will use a 3.5-liter V6 producing 314 hp, coupled with an eight-speed automatic gearbox including paddle shifters. The RC 300h will be fitted with a 2.5-liter inline four producing 176-bhp combined with an electric motor.
2014 Michelin Challenge Design finalists announced
Mon, 23 Sep 2013Michelin has announced the 15 finalists of the 2014 Michelin Challenge Design, themed ‘Driven/Undriven: The Duality of Tomorrow's Automobile'. Their work will be showcased in January at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. A judging panel of automotive designers and industry experts selected individuals and teams from Italy, China, South Korea, Finland, Serbia, Canada, Brazil, Mexico and Guatemala from over 900 registrants from 74 countries.
