Skoda Fabia (2015) unveiled: first pictures of Czech supermini
Tue, 19 Aug 2014By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 19 August 2014 08:00 Czech HQ has issued this pair of pictures of the new 2015 Skoda Fabia. They reveal a conservatively styled supermini in the vein of a shrunken Octavia with a dash more sophistication than today’s workaday hatch. The new, third-generation Fabia sticks with the crisp, defined surfacing that has come to represent Skoda’s ascetic formality.
Peugeot 508 (2011): first official pictures of France's Mondeo
Mon, 12 Jul 2010This is the new Peugeot 508, said to be the first Peugeot to introduce the new design look spun from the SR1 concept first seen back in January 2010. The 508 replaces two cars – the 407 and 607 – and will be available in both saloon and estate bodystyles when it goes on sale at the start of 2011. It's very similar to the 5 concept car shown earlier in 2010, but somehow lacks the stylistic class of recent Peugeots such as the RCZ.
Power hike for Porsche Boxster
Thu, 19 Oct 2006By Phil McNamara Motor Industry 19 October 2006 02:37 Porsche has upgraded its two Boxster models, by transplanting the Cayman coupe's punchier flat six engines. The base Cayman cabriolet – sorry, Boxster – now gets a smidgen more power and torque from its 2.7-litre unit, with outputs climbing to 245bhp and 201lb ft. The tweaks shave a tenth off the 0-62mph sprint, reducing it to 6.1sec, and improve fuel economy by 1mpg to 30.4.
