Insurers urged to show old premiums
Thu, 20 Feb 2014CAMPAIGNERS are urging insurers to show last year's premium alongside any renewal quote they give to prompt people to shop around more for a better deal. Research by Which? found that nearly nine out of 10 (85%) people would find it useful to have the amount they paid last year on a renewal letter for any type of premium such as car or home insurance.
2009 Michelin Challenge Design theme announced
Tue, 15 Jan 2008Michelin today announced the 2009 theme for its global vehicle design competition, Michelin Challenge Design (MCD), asking entrants to explore the future of transportation and share their brave and bold vision for 'America's Next Iconic Vehicle.' Designers this year are asked to render unique vehicle concepts that demonstrate emotional appeal, design courage and technical execution. Additional consideration will be given to entries with attributes that benefit safety and the environment and include a separate rendering of the tire and wheel component assembly. Vehicle designs that best represent "Brave + Bold, America's Next Iconic Vehicle" will be reviewed by a jury of professional designers whose names will be announced later in 2008.
Koenigsegg to celebrate 100th car with special model

Christian Von Koenigsegg founded his eponymous supercar company back in 1994, but it took until 2002 for the first customer car to be delivered. That first car was the Koenigsegg CC8 (a development of Christian’s original CC prototype) which featured bespoke everything – from chassis to suspension and brakes – but utilised a Ford 4.7 litre V8.
