Volvo creates Inflatable Child Seat

Volvo is a brand famously associated with safety, so let’s hope its latest effort doesn’t turn out to be a load of hot air: the Swedish brand has come up with a concept for an inflatable children’s car seat. Called the Volvo Inflatable Child Seat Concept, this does exactly what it says on the tin – it’s a child seat that instead of being made of rigid material can be deflated and folded away for easy carriage when not required. GM kills Cadillac SRX turbo

General Motors has stopped making the Cadillac SRX turbo crossover because of low sales. The turbo version made up 5 to 10 percent of SRX model sales since its debut in December 2009, Cadillac spokeswoman Robyn Henderson said Monday. In 2010, GM sold 45,229 SRX units through November, the most recent data available.

Mercedes confirms C-class coupe to launch in 2011

Buyers seeking a blend of sportiness and luxury will get another choice in 2011: Mercedes confirmed this week it's adding a C-class coupe to its portfolio. The two-door will be built at the Mercedes plant in Bremen, Germany, where the C-class sedan, wagon and GLK are also assembled. The C-class coupe would fight the BMW 1-series, Cadillac CTS coupe and smaller Audis.
