Smart E-Scooter electric concept (2010) first pictures

We’ve seen the sketches of the Smart E-Scooter concept, and now this is the real thing, which will be unveiled at the 2010 Paris motor show next week. Underneath the fully interchangeable plastic body panels there is a steel and aluminium frame, and there's lots of tech too. There’s heated handlebars, ABS, an airbag, and a Blind Spot Assist monitor to warn when a car/van/bus is about to take you out.

£127k McLaren MP4-12C tops the bill at BCA Auction

A host of luxury and performance cars went under the hammer at the BCA Blackbushe Top Car Auction this week, including a McLaren MP4-12C and a nearly-new Jaguar F-Type. BCA said, "the high-end prestige and sports car market has a strong following with buyers and we have seen lots of interest in high value vehicles during 2013, with bidders prepared to invest six-figure sums for the right vehicle." Chicago-area native Joe Bortz began collecting cars in 1962 with no idea that he'd become renowned for having possibly the world's best collection of significant concept cars. More than 40 years later, that's an honor Bortz wears with pride, but it speaks to only a part of his collection of machinery. Bortz's car-collecting passion began with a 1928 Chevrolet Landau coupe.
