I am not a professional dealer or reseller. All of the items that I sell on eBay are from my personal possessions, which I inherited or bought over the years. Besides simply enjoying the pre-auction research, as a hobby, my eBay auctions are a way for me to get my good stuff into the hands of those who appreciate them. I am always happy to combine the shipping expense, for winners of multiple auctions, as I am not trying to make money on shipping.

You are bidding on my Great Nicely Used Original Hardbound Copy of MOTOR'S Auto Repair Manual 9th Edition, 1946 Printing (856-Pages covering car model years 1935 thru 1946). The binding is fully intact with nice pages throughout, without the usual greasy fingerprints. The only slight negatives that I can find to mention is that there's a name of a previous owner written in felt pen inside the front cover, plus the name and address in pen at the bottom of the title page. Otherwise, this vintage book (67 years old) shows normal signs of age, use, and storage (without abuse). This weighs a heavy 4 pounds, without counting additional for packaging. Hopefully, from the pictures and my description, you can fully appreciate what is being offered here.

Please let me know if you have any questions. As you can see from my positive eBay feedback, I pride myself in shipping very quickly/carefully and my auctions descriptions are accurate. (Note: I don't offer returns on printed media, as it is too easily copied).

Big car day in horse country at the Keeneland Concours d'Elegance

Tue, 30 Aug 2011

With a concours sprawling over the lush grounds of the Keeneland Race Course, there was almost too much to see. Attendance, at 6,000, was up again this year; there was a record number of entries, and attendees could park their rides in car corrals that surrounded the show grounds. "To drive up in your Cobra, Mustang or Mini and then nose up 10 feet from a Duesenberg or a Bugatti is pretty cool," said Tom Jones, event chairman.

Concept Car of the Week: Renault Racoon (1992)

Fri, 16 Aug 2013

As far as wacky concepts go, the Racoon surely has to be up there with the best of them. Designed and engineered like no other car before, the off-road and amphibious capabilities of the Racoon stretched automobile versatility to new levels. With its big eyes and smiley face, it has the same happy expression as its sister, the Twingo.
