A&a Supercharger System For C6 Z06 Ls7 on 2040-parts.com
Cumming, Georgia, United States
The A&A Supercharger kit brings you dramatic increases in power
while not degrading everyday drivability or highway gas mileage!
The system utilizes a large blow off valve that remains open at cruise
and light throttle. This, essentially, allows the supercharger to
“freewheel” under normal conditions, reducing parasitic loss to less
than that of an alternator.
A naturally aspirated engine would require higher compression, a very
aggressive camshaft, high flow cylinder heads with heavy duty
valvetrain, exhaust headers with free flowing exhaust, larger throttle
body, high flow intake manifold, free flowing air filter housing and
duct, etc. Most of these parts are NOT emissions legal. The price of
these components alone is higher than a supercharger system. The labor
to install these is also much higher. Then there are the inherent
problems brought to the vehicle by such a build. A large camshaft all
but ruins everyday drivability AND gas mileage. Driving in traffic
becomes a very trying experience. A stick shift car will buck and surge
and an automatic car will be hard to hold back because of the increased
idle speed required. Low speed torque is reduced with an aggressive
camshaft which will require lower differential gearing and a high speed
stall torque converter (automatic cars) to make up for it. This further
degrades drivability and gas mileage. With all the components required
for a high performance naturally aspirated car, the degradation in
drivability and gas mileage, the total inability of the vehicle to pass
emissions tests and the added expenditure, the vehicle would STILL have
up to 100HP less than a stock Corvette with one of our standard systems
bolted on. Installed on customer C6 Z06 with stock LS7. Used for approximately 500 miles/8 dyno passes and 4 half mile passes. Being replaced with LSX 427 and ProCharger F1X combination AS PICTURED/NO RADIATOR... Please look at pictures closely. May be missing some hardware/small items Retail on this system is $5495.00 plus $150.00 to upgrade to the V3-SI Head unit |

Ford's maximum C for Frankfurt Auto Show
Thu, 03 Sep 2009Ford will introduce the redesigned C-Max, which uses the automaker's first global C-segment platform, at the upcoming Frankfurt auto show. The C-Max will be launched worldwide in the second half of 2010, with other models to follow on the platform, including the next-generation Focus, also coming in 2010. The C-Max takes its "kinetic" design cues from the iosis MAX concept car unveiled at this year's Geneva auto show, incorporating features such as a coupelike sweeping roofline.
One Lap of the Web: A rally car drinks beer
Tue, 11 Mar 2014-- Thierry Neuville was somewhere on his way back to the pits after finishing the final stage of the WRC Mexico when his Hyundai i20 rally car sprung a leak: The hole in the radiator was bleeding coolant at a frightening rate. If Neuville didn't make the 33 kilometers back, he would lose his second place standing behind Volkswagen and all would be lost. (Alas, them's the breaks in the sometimes-quixotic rulebook of the World Rally Championship.) Well, lucky for Neuville, his sponsors at Corona had presented him with a massive bottle of beer, which he then proceeded to pour into the radiator.
