Cadillac ELR recall targets stability control software issues

The 2014 Cadillac ELR is being recalled for an issue with its electronic stability control (ESC) system. According to NHTSA, the software for the car's electronic stability control system may inhibit certain ESC functions, and fail to alert the driver than ESC is partially or fully disabled. This could potentially give the driver no warning that ESC may be off entirely, which could result in a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Dacia Duster promises to be sub £10k in the UK Renault’s budget brand Dacia will offer “Shockingly Affordable” prices in the UK from 2013. Dacia Duster SUV under £10k and Sandero under £7k. This week Renault announced a ’100 Day Countdown’ to the arrival of the Dacia brand in the UK (well, strictly speaking, that’s a re-arrival) although the reality is that Dacia vehicles won’t actually arrive until January 2013, although you will be order one in June.

College Exhibition: Creapole MA Degree Show 2009

Creapole, a design school offering degrees in a range of disciplines, held its MA Transportation Design show last week at its campus in Paris, France. The masters students, now in their fifth year of study, have been preparing for the show through the school's intensive program, which includes sociological, ecological and anthropological studies during the fourth year. In the fifth year, program directors Alec Moran and Cyril Randuineau allowed the students to develop a vehicle based on their own theme and invited jury members from the design community to come by and give the students feedback on their various projects.
