By spring of 2013, VW’s Klaus Bishoff was saying the Taigun would go in to production and not just for emerging markets but for the UK and Europe too.

Mazda Hazumi concept (2014) first official pictures

Tue, 04 Mar 2014

By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 04 March 2014 06:00 This is the new Mazda 2 supermini, unveiled this morning at the 2014 Geneva motor show. Okay, okay, technically it’s the Mazda Hazumi concept, but the Japanese company itself openly admits this dinky little hatchback previews ‘ideas for its next-generation B-car’. Incidentally, Hazumi (no, not the cheese, but Hazumi) is apparently a Japanese word meaning ‘bound’ or ‘spring up’ so Mazda’s picked the name ‘to convey an image of a small but vigorous animal, bursting with energy.’ That’s right, and Mazda is using it to highlight its ‘Kodo’ design language, its SkyActiv fuel-saving technologies, and its MZD Connect infotainment system.

Porsche considers North America, China production to grow sales

Mon, 17 Jan 2011

Porsche may launch production in North America and China as part of a plan to double annual global sales to 200,000 units, CEO Matthias Mueller said. Mueller said the sports car maker's current German assembly plants in Zuffenhausen, near Stuttgart, and Leipzig, were too small for the brand to reach its ambitious goals. "We will consider this year whether to start production in Asia or North America," Mueller told the German magazine Focus in an interview published Monday.
