Hartmut Warkuss to receive 2014 EyesOn Design Catalyst Award

Hartmut Warkuss, former head of Volkswagen Design, will be awarded the 2014 Catalyst Award by EyesOn Design at next week's North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). Warkuss, who is credited with overseeing the design of the Bugatti Veyron, the VW Concept (new Beetle) and the Audi TT Concept, will be presented with the award by Peter Schreyer, Hyundai's president and chief design officer and the 2014 recipient of the EyesOn Design Lifetime Design Achievement Award. Brumos Porsche to honor Hurley Haywood with special-edition Carrera GTS

Brumos Porsche in Jacksonville, Fla., parent of Brumos Racing, confirmed the production and imminent delivery of five factory-built 911 Carrera GTS B59 Edition coupes that pay homage to driver Hurley Haywood--five-time winner of the Daytona 24-hour race. The exclusive Porsches will carry a sticker price of $133,540. The 408-hp coupes, based on the GTS, will have the Brumos red-and-blue stripe design for the front hood and rear deck, Porsche door decals, 19-inch sport classic wheels, limitation badges and Carrera White accents and door-entry guards with HHaywood's engraved signature.
