Geely Englon TXN (w/ Gallery)
Tue, 13 Apr 2010Geely is poised to show 39 new vehicles at the forthcoming Auto China 2010 motor show in Beijing, among them will be this new TXN taxi. While most of the new cars on show won't be built around entirely new sheet metal - some will feature new powertrains, for example - the Englon TXN is indeed all-new. Sitting in Geely's Englon range, a sub-brand initially created for the taxicab, the TXN is intended as a replacement for the aging TX4 built by British automaker LTI (as well as at Geely's Shanghai Maples factory).
Scion iQ (2011) revealed
Fri, 02 Apr 2010The 2011 Scion iQ - a Toyota iQ in any other place - will hit the US market The Scion name is one of those car ‘Makes’ that is well known over there but unheard of over here. So although the headline will mean something to our Colonial Cousins, most in Blighty won’t have a clue. So before we cover the Scion iQ, perhaps we ought to cover Scion in general.

Mon, 20 Jul 2009Nissan - the Renault Nissan Alliance - has confirmed plans for car battery production in the UK and Portugal The aim of the battery production plants is to supply batteries for electric cars built by the Renault Nissan alliance, but Nissan haven’t actually said that they will build any electric cars in the UK. Hmm. The target production is 60,000 annually to be used in a range of Nissan and Renault electric cars that will start to hit the market next year (2010) – in the US and Japan – with full global roll-out by 2010.
