This is a AC DELCO GM fuel pump. Box is marked with number 40375, in smaller numbers after is 6416229. The pump is TYPE 717. The instruction sheet says this is for a Ford V-8, used on 292, 330, 361 and 391. The element number is type GF 157. The replacement shell is type CF 164. Gasket included. GM disbands unit that creates high-performance vehicles
Wed, 18 Feb 2009General Motors, focusing on mainstream products in a battle to survive, has scrapped a unit that produced high-performance vehicles. GM on Wednesday disbanded High Performance Vehicle Operations, which is based at the company's suburban Detroit technical center, and redeployed its engineers, spokesman Vince Muniga said. "All high-performance projects are on indefinite hold," Muniga said.
